Wheelchair Loan Program
At BC Wheelchair Sports, we’re committed to removing financial barriers to participation. Our Wheelchair Loan Program allows new and longtime participants to access equipment at an affordable rate. Members can rent rugby chairs, tennis chairs, racing chairs, and/or throwing frames on a monthly or yearly basis.
Additional support is also available to those in financial need.

BC Wheelchair Sports has programs for athletes of all levels from recreational to competitive.
For individuals wanting more competition and the opportunity to push themselves to improve and take on the best, our high-performance programs and provincial teams are a great fit.

Wheelchair Athletics
- Do you like to go fast? How about throwing far? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then Wheelchair Athletics is for you. BCWSA offers Wheelchair Racing and Seated Throws for athletes of all ages and skill levels!
- Athletics is on break for the rest of the summer but we’re looking forward to recruiting new participants this fall! New athletes are always welcome and our coaches are comfortable working with those of all skill and ability levels.

Wheelchair Rugby
- Physical, fast-paced and fun, Wheelchair Rugby is an exciting team sport that combines aspects of basketball, handball, and rugby.
- Invented in Winnipeg in 1977 as a team sport that would give quadriplegics opportunities to compete, this Canadian-made game is tons of fun and we have clubs across the province.

Wheelchair Tennis
- Wheelchair Tennis is an exciting sport that you can play with and against standing/running players! If you enjoy individual sports, like to challenge yourself, and want to learn new skills, this is the sport for you!
- BCWSA offers programs for juniors and adults of all skill and experience levels with programs in different communities around the province.
