Tomas Bourassa Wins 2017 Sport Champion – Youth Award

Congratulations to Tomas Bourassa, who was awarded the 2017 Sport Champion Youth Award at the Delta Sports Hall of Fame banquet last weekend. Coach Steve Manley and BCWSA wheelchair tennis program coordinator Michelle McDonell were on hand to celebrate his big win.
Tomas, who is a rising star on the wheelchair tennis circuit, received the award for his impressive performance at the World Team Cup this summer. Tomas teamed up with Thomas Venos and Puisand Lai to earn Team Canada a fourth-place finish in the junior division, which is the highest that a Canadian team has ranked.
