The weather’s getting warmer which means that it’s time for BCWSA’s outdoor racing and throws practices. This spring/summer we have Wheelchair Racing in Vancouver and Seated Throws in Richmond plus a new practice in Coquitlam.
Wheelchair Racing!
Join Coach James at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary in Vancouver on Tuesday evenings all summer long. Whether you’re brand-new or an experienced racer, there’s a place at you at our racing practices.
What: Wheelchair Racing: Improve your technique, get faster/stronger and have fun
When: Tuesdays/Thursdays from 5-6:30
Who: Practices are open to racers of all skill and experience levels and led by Coach Hustvedt
Where: Sir Winston Churchill Secondary – 7055 Heather Street, Vancouver
Equipment: Racing chairs are available upon request, see below for contact information.

Seated Throws (Richmond)
Join Coach Ross every Tuesday and Thursday at the Collier Throwing Centre in Minoru Park in Richmond and learn how to throw far.
What: Seated Throws: Throw Shot Put, Discus, Javelin and/or Club and work on your strength and technique.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-3:30pm
Who: New and returning participants and volunteers. Open to all skill and experience levels and led by Coach Ross McCallum.
Where: Collier Throwing Centre – Minoru Park – 7191 Granville Street, Richmond
Equipment: Available upon request

Seated Throws (Coquitlam)
Join Coach Ross every Tuesday at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam for this new Seated Throws program.
What: Seated Throws: Throw Shot Put, Discus, Javelin and/or Club and work on your strength and technique.
When: Tuesdays from 5-6:30pm
Who: New and returning participants and volunteers. Open to all skill and experience levels and led by Coach Ross McCallum.
Where: Percy Perry Stadium – 1290 Pipeline Road
