Wheelchair Tennis is Back!!!!

Our Lower Mainland Wheelchair Tennis Programs are returning this fall under our new guidelines. 

. **Please note that per club policy each session will be limited to four participants. Sessions will be determined by the number/level of registered participants. Participants will be grouped by age/level. All participants must be registered ahead of time – no drop-in allowed.**

YY Tennis Lessons – Richmond

Time: Sundays between 1 and 4pm – TBD by groupings

Date: Sundays, September 13th-November 29th  EXCEPT Sunday October 11th (Thanksgiving)

Registration: $50 – Juniors, $75 – Adults

IMPORTANT – COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Due to the current pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus – COVID-19 – BCWSA has implemented a number of protocols to keep everyone safe while allowing us to return to sport. All participants are expected to adhere to these protocols at all times. The full guidelines can be found online HERE – we strongly recommend that participants review this document before attending their first lesson.

All participants will be required to sign an updated Waiver (or an Assumption of Risk for participants under 18) and COVID-19 Declaration, and to complete a Personal Health Attestation before each lesson. All forms are available online and can be found at the links below.

All participants must also have a valid BCWSA Membership – available for purchase on the registration link. Contact Michelle if you are unsure whether your membership has expired.

All players are recommended to follow BCWSA’s Return to Play Recommendations for Wheelchair Tennis

Individuals including but not limited to participants, volunteers and coaches MAY NOT PARTICIPATE in any programming if they:

  • Exhibit any symptoms of a cold, flu, or COVID-19 including a fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue and loss of appetite.
  • Have had any of the above symptoms in the last 10 days.
  • Are under the direction of the provincial health officer to self-isolate
  • Have travelled  outside of Canada in the last 14 days
  • Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

All players must adhere to all facility guidelines and follow the directions of the coach at all times.

We are currently working with the Surrey Tennis Centre and UBC Tennis Centre to resume programming at those facilities however at this time we do not have confirmed court time and those programs will therefore not resume prior to October 1.
