If you’ve wanted to try wheelchair athletics, head down to the Richmond Olympic Oval on Nov. 5th for our Indoor Fall Wheelchair Athletics Have a Go Day. Try wheelchair racing and throws in a supportive, comfortable environment.
No matter your disability or your experience/fitness level, there’s a place for you in this event. All equipment — including sports wheelchairs — will be provided. Our program coordinators and coaches will be there to answer all your questions and show you the ropes. You are also welcome to bring a friend or family member, even if they’re able-bodied.
We’re also excited to announce that Athletics Canada coach Rick Reelie will be there. Learn from one of Canada’s top athletics coaches and get some tips that will launch your wheelchair athletics career.
When: Sunday, Nov. 5th 2017, 1 – 3 pm
Where: Richmond Olympic Oval, 6111 River Road, Richmond BC
Cost: Free!
What: Try wheelchair racing and throws.
