BC Para-Athletics Athletes Excel at 2017 Canadian Track and Field Nationals

Congratulations to our para-athletics crew, who had excellent results at the 2017 Canadian Track and Field Championships in Ottawa this week. Team BC won five medals: a silver and a bronze for Dakoda Darling, 2 bronzes for Tristan Smyth and a bronze for Jessye Brockway. Balraj Zimich had personal bests in the 200m and 800m, and Eddy Solla had a personal best in the discus.
Here are the final results:
Sedrick Skabar: 5th in T53 200m, 7th in T34/53 800m, 4th in T53 400m, 7th in men’s 1500m
Balraj Zimich: 7th in T54 200m, 6th in T54 100m, 8th in T54 400m
Dakoda Darling: silver in seated discus, bronze in seated javelin, 5th in seated shot put
Peter Isherwood: 6th in seated discus
Eddy Solla: 7th in seated discus, 4th in seated shot put
Tristan Smyth: 4th in T54 800m, bronze in men’s 1500m, bronze in T54 400m
Jessye Brockway: 8th in seated shot put, 5th in seated discus, bronze in seated javelin
