Tennis BC, the TPA and BC Wheelchair Sports are hosting a Wheelchair Tennis Instructors Course on Saturday, March 11.
About the Course
The Wheelchair Tennis Instructor Course is a Tennis Canada initiative designed to provide
interested people (currently certified Instructors and Coaches, Recreational Therapists, etc.) with
the knowledge to teach wheelchair tennis to introductory players.
Participants will learn how to adapt their coaching to systematically develop beginning wheelchair
tennis players. They will help players learn the fundamentals of rallying, starting a point with
serve & return, playing the game and most importantly, chair mobility.
The course will be taught by Tennis Canada National Wheelchair Tennis Coach and 3
Time Paralympic Medalist Kai Schrameyer.
Date and Time: Saturday, March 11 from 1-7pm.
WHO: The course is open to everyone. Only Instructors or Coaches already certified by Tennis Canada are eligible to receive the official certificate upon completion.
COST: $49 TPA Members & $99 Non-Members
