BC Wheelchair Sports Association has a long history of event hosting. The Vancouver Invitational Wheelchair Rugby Tournament recently celebrated its 15th anniversary and we're about to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Canada Cup Wheelchair Rugby Tournament. And who can forget the 2010 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships, when we welcomed the world to the Richmond Olympic Oval for the first major tournament after the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games?
Our decision to host major tournaments not only provides our athletes with high-quality competitions in their own backyard, but it also creates community of volunteers, fans, friends and family members who come together to celebrate sport. If you'd like to get involved, we encourage you to sign up to become a volunteer. We'd also love to see you in the stands cheering on our BCWSA athletes. We'll see you on the court!
