Become a Volunteer

Want to meet great people, make a difference in your community and even potentially travel? BC Wheelchair Sports Association is currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers to meet a wide variety of needs including: coaches, practice assistants, scorekeepers, referees, drivers, tournament organizers, and much more.

You don't need any special skills and you don't have to be athletic. All you need is a desire to give back to the community. To take your first steps, contact Ana Karanovic at 604.333.3520 ext. 209 or [email protected].

Current Volunteer Opportunities

In light of recent developments related to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, BC Wheelchair Sports is suspending all sports programming at this time. This means that all wheelchair rugby, wheelchair tennis and wheelchair athletics practices, training camps, and events are canceled until further notice, as well as all Bridging the Gap related activities. We request that our member clubs suspend practices and programming as well. The suspension of these activities will take effect immediately and will continue through to the end of June. We will re-evaluate this suspension at the end of this month and will extend as necessary. The health and safety of our community is our first priority.

While we don't currently have any volunteer opportunities, please contact us if you'd like to be added to our list to learn about future opportunities!
