News & Results 2010 IPC Shooting World Championships BC shooters Chris Trifonidis, Doug Blessin and Greg Labine along with Ontario's Mike Larochelle represented Canada at the World Shooting Championships in July 2010 in Zagreb, Croatia. By all reports, it was a great tournament despite some frustrating equipment failures for both Trifonidis and Labine. BC's Doug Blessin, shooting at only his 2nd International tournament, was named to the Canadian national team. Doug had this to say about his experience: "Without the help of the BCWSA and funding I received through the AAP (Athlete Assistance Program), I would not have been able to go (to the World's) at all so I am extremely grateful for the support they have given me. I owe some of my success to them for without their help I would not have made the team."
