About the Sport
Wheelchair Rugby is played from the local, recreational level to the World Championships and Paralympic Games. Canada boasts one of the top teams in the World, and BC has one of the top teams in Canada!
Either for fun or for some serious competition, come out and get involved!
Opportunities
- Players: Beginners to Advanced, all levels welcome
- Coaches: Are needed to develop programs throughout the province
- Officials & Classifiers: If you would like to train as an Official or Classifier for wheelchair rugby, just let us know!
- Volunteers: Can work to develop the sport of wheelchair rugby in the community through athlete and coach recruitment, fundraising, and facility access.
BCWRA
The BC Wheelchair Rugby Association (BCRWA) is a non-profit organization committed to the development of Wheelchair Rugby in British Columbia. In addition to facilitating training sessions in Vancouver's Lower Mainland, and hosting an annual tournament, the association also supports the growth and development of Wheelchair Rugby around the province. Through its own fundraising efforts, and the support of the BC Wheelchair Sports Association, BC Wheelchair Rugby supports team travel to tournaments in Canada and the United States. Wheelchair Rugby is a member sport of the BC Wheelchair Sports Association.
