  • 1981 BCWSA Athlete of the Year and Sport BC Athlete of the Year: Athlete with a Disability
  • 1982 set world records in Pan American Games in the 100m, 400m and 1500m
  • 1988 BCWSA Athlete of the Year
  • 1988 won Paralympic gold while setting a world record in the 100m
  • 1991 won three gold medals and a silver medal at the World Wheelchair Games
  • 1991 won the National Marathon in Toronto
