Associate Member Sport Minimum Standards Sports must satisfy 7 of 9 criteria in 1998/99, 9 of 9 in 1999/00 Minimum of 15 registered members with BCWSA - with completed registration forms & payment annually. These can be any combination of athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, or supporting members. Minimum of 25 % of self generated funds in total revenue. Produce an annual budget with total income and expenses identified. Where a sport receives funding to host an event, a post event financial statement must be received within 30 days following the event and before any outstanding funding is forwarded. Where athletes & coaches receive funding to attend an event, one athlete representative and one coach must submit a post event report (completed form) with 10 days of returning from the event before any outstanding funding is forwarded. All Athletes, Coaches and Volunteers traveling on behalf of BC Wheelchair Sports must sign a code of conduct and return it to the BCWSA office prior to their departure. Athletes must train in an organized program where a coach is present a minimum of once a week. With the assistance of BCWSA, produce an annual plan for the development of the sport within BC. Coaches must meet the minimum standards for NCCP certification as outlined in the BCWSA Coaching Policy and Procedures. In sports where technical levels are unavailable, theory levels must be obtained. The sport must be run by a management committee of no less than three individuals elected annually by their membership that liaise with BCWSA.
