SHAW Cable to air Wheelchair Basketball Preview October 2, 2001 - The SHAW Cable Junior Wheelchair Basketball Challenge runs October 6th to 7th, 2001 at the Thompson Community Centre - 5151 Granville Ave, Richmond, BC. Shaw Cable will air a preview to the tournament throughout the week to promote the Challenge. The story will run on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. The program will repeat on Friday at 7:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The show is called Plugged In and can be viewed on Channel 4. The 8-foot division is on Saturday only and is weather dependent as it is being held outside. The 10-foot division will run on both Saturday and Sunday. The BC Wheelchair Basketball Society is a non-profit organization providing support to wheelchair basketball programs throughout British Columbia. Programs are offered to people who have physical disabilities and people who do not and to all age groups from eight-year-olds and up.
